Description:

The Pointer Sisters had a devoutly religious and disciplined upbringing, but they found joy and happiness in singing. They sang gospel music in their church, but were truly interested in music their parents disapproved of: Pop. Despite their conservative upbringing, the sisters formed a pop music group and began pursuing a music career. Although the road to fame was difficult, they went on to achieve worldwide recognition and secure a place in pop music history.
