ClickLess is very easy to use. When you run ClickLess, the corresponding icon will appear in the windows tray. If you double click on this icon the main window will appear.
When it opens up, you will see a TreeView control displaying a list of the programs currently running in your computer that can be monitored by ClickLess. These programs are MDI (Multi document interface), which means they can have one or more child windows like Cakewalk or Microsoft Word. In case the program does not conform to MDI conventions, ClickLess will only show the desktop icon. You can make ClickLess monitor a program just by launching it and clicking its corresponding icon on the TreeView control. After that, you should see the selected program's name on the bottom left side of the Status Bar, which means the program is being monitored by ClickLess. If you want to stop ClickLess without closing it, just press the Pause button on your keyboard and it will stop running temporarily. ClickLess will be restarted when you press the Pause button again, or you can select Options...Start monitoring on ClickLess Menu. ClickLess has been developed to run smoothly in your computer, so if you are working with time-critical software, like Cakewalk Sonar, you should not worry because ClickLess is small (just about 364 Kb) and almost unobtrusive: it takes less than 1% of CPU processing time. According to our tests with Cakewalk Sonar on a Pentium III 600 with 256 MB RAM and 1024x768 screen resolution, you can have 20 audio tracks + Track view window + some Audio windows + Console window + some Plugin windows + Cakewalk playing the song, and you will be able to move between all the mentioned windows without any glitch in the audio performance. However, you should take into account that if you have problems with Audio/MIDI performance prior to installing ClickLess, you will have the same problems after you install it. |
